1. When is the library closing?
As per the new restrictions announced by the Alberta Government the Okotoks Library must close beginning Sunday, December 13, 2020. These mandatory restrictions apply provincewide and will be in place at least until January 21, 2021.
While the building will be closed to the public, library staff will be present to offer curbside pickup, virtual programs and answer any questions you might have by phone. You can reach library staff by phone at 403-938-2220 during these operating hours:

2. Can I return my library items?
All library items must be returned in our 24-hour exterior book drop. All items will be quarantined for 3 days before they are removed from your account as per Alberta Health Services guidelines. No overdue fines will be incurred during this quarantine period. Oversize items like book club kits, ukuleles, snowshoes, retro gaming consoles, etc. can be returned during our pre-scheduled curbside pickup times or you can call library staff at 403-938-2220 during our operating hours to arrange a return time.
3. What has happened to my holds that are available for pick up?
Holds can be picked up in person during operating hours using our Curbside Hold Pickup service. Patrons can arrange curbside pickup during open hours by calling the library at 403-938-2220 or pre-book online.
4. Can I purchase a new annual library membership or renew an expired one online?
Yes, we now offer online new and renewal library memberships. Click here for more information and begin the application process.
