Introduction to Drawing

Class Overview:

This class is for the absolute beginner. It will provide a broad overview of information and knowledge about the tools and techniques required to draw, followed by an opportunity to put that learning into practice with instructional guidance.

In this class you will learn the myths that surround drawing, what tools to use (and nice-to-have's), drawing techniques, how to observe and use form simplification, about lines/contours, and the value of drawing.

This class is for you if you're interested in learning some basic knowledge and skills about drawing.

Materials to Bring:

• Paper: you can use a notebook, sketchbook, or sketchpad (basically anything you can take notes on and do a few sketches on!)
• Pencil(s): 
  • HB- regular pencil or technical pencil (your preference)
  • 2B

• Eraser
  • Vinyl or kneadable
